Am I Deserving?

Amy came over yesterday and absolutely made my day. She not only brought me some scrapbooking magazines, but two absolutely adorable/soft/fuzzy baby blankets in really cute boy colors. I really wanted to cry by such thoughtfulness. Thank you so much, Amy, for being so sweet to me. I don't know if I am deserving of such wonderful friends. I am in awe of how thoughtful so many people are.

Random side note because it happened a couple of hours ago. I was designing some pictures for some friends -- which took about 3 hours. (Frustrating, but necessary for a good design.) Anyway, they brought their kids with them. Their oldest boy is the same age as Max, but about 3 times as big. He could pass for a 4th grader. Anyway, after a couple of hours, Max came inside holding his tooth in his hand. They were playing on the tramp and somehow when they were playing crack the egg, this larger child's knee hit Max's mouth hard enough to knock out a tooth that wasn't even loose. Max didn't seem, too hurt, which is good. I'm just looking at the clock, however, and wondering what the tooth fairy is going to do. We were definitely not prepared for a random tooth loss. Do you think Max will take a check or credit card?

Another random side note -- I have got to find the battery charger for my digital camera, so I can take pictures of all of these funny things that keep happening. Hopefully I will find it soon. I get so jealous of all of your cute pictures that go with your blogs. Cross your fingers that I will find it. I've missed out on documenting the last 3 months of my life. So frustrating.

Yes, you're deserving! That's the spirit of reciprocity so just enjoy it and embrace it, then pass it on when it's a good time for you to do that.

Sorry about Max's tooth, that's kind of funny and frightening. How much does your tooth fairy bring?

Where in the world could your battery charger be? I'm thinking it might be in the camera department at Walmart. Ha.

Amy seems to be on a roll before she has the baby. I am still amazed by the magazines she dropped by my house this week!

I would also like to know about the tooth fairy as I can't remember what my parents did. Kinda scary that it was knocked out but good that he wasn't too upset about it.

Poor Max! Good thing it was just a baby tooth, eh?

I agree, you must get your camera in working order so that you can document all of the craziness that is your life. Buy a new charger if you have to.

Please don't question whether or not you're deserving of kindness and generosity. We all are. I think we answer each other's prayers all the time. It's what friendship is all about! (of course, this is so easy for me to say to you. I question whether I'm deserving all the time!)

Yes you are very deserving. I am so glad you have been a recipient of a thoughtful gift. It makes everything better.

I have been looking for a battery charger for my daughters leapster as well. Like Jill said it may be waiting at the store. At least that's what I'm thinking.

Deserving- absolutely!
Tooth Fairy- brings a dollar to our house.
Charger- does Nate have a "magic" box of cords for all occasions? Try there!

Jana, you do so much for other people that I sometimes worry that you don't do enough for yourself. Of course you're deserving!

I can't believe Max's tooth got knocked out! Were the parents there when it happened? I hope they were mortified!

As for the charger, good luck! I hate when I misplace stuff like that. It's so frustrating.
